We know what it takes to build a working community business. This is why we have made it as easy as possible to move your community to coapp without interrupting your processes while providing a seamless user experience. However, you can always reach out to our support team so they can help you get through the process as smoothly as possible.

We've made your migration to coapp a straightforward process:

  1. Setup

  2. Redirect all new members to coapp

  3. Optional: Import existing member data to coapp

  4. The final steps

1. Setup coapp

To prepare for your move to coapp set up your community according to your needs, first:

2. Redirect all new members to coapp

Having completed your Setup, new community members can now sign up following the checkout process in your publicly available plan overview under https://[YOUR-DOMAIN].coapp.io/plans

Now, is the time to update all links on your website or other digital platforms to point to your custom coapp domain.

3. Optional: Import existing member data to coapp

If you do not want to ask your members to register for your community again, we offer a paid migration service that imports all relevant member data from your old system. You will need to export the following data from your old system as a CSV file and securely transmit it to our tech support:

  1. Member profile data

  2. Optional: Membership data

  3. Optional: Booking data

  4. Optional: Activity logs

Please reach out to our Tech Support to receive detailed instructions on the data format and transmission.

Once we have received your data, we'll run checks and tests on the data provided. If the data is structured correctly, we send you a short confirmation including a preview of one sample of the data and ask you to finally confirm the import of the data.

4. The final steps

Have you completed all the steps above? Great, you're now all set to take the final steps to use coapp as your stand-alone community business platform! These are the final things to keep in mind:

  1. All your members are now fully managed through coapp.

  2. All imported members will be prompted to set a new password on their first log-in as old passwords were not imported.

  3. If you have activated coapps payment features, all imported members will be asked to set up a payment method with their invoice. The first invoices will be created and sent according to the imported billing cycles starting the day after we have migrated your members.

  4. Make sure you have created all bookable resources and the correct availability to prevent double bookings. See Step 1.

  5. Make sure you cancel all subscriptions in your previous software in order to prevent duplicate charges and member frustration. Make sure you review the first invoices carefully and make manual corrections where necessary.

  6. Inform all your members about the new home of your community and the awesome new possibilities that come with it.
