The following steps should help you to set up your own social platform quickly and easily

Congratulations, you have chosen coapp!

Your community platform is still empty and doesn't look like your own platform yet? We want to change that.

Before you invite your community, you should follow these steps to make the user experience really convincing.

  1. Complete your profile

    Be a good role model and complete your own profile. As soon as you invite your team or members, your face will appear in all dialogs.

  2. Add custom domain

    Add custom domain

    When you create a space, we assign a random but very cool built-in domain to your space which will look something like spring-leaf.coapp.io

    However, to personalize your domain click on your profile picture in the upper right corner and select Manage. Then click Settings at the bottom left and choose Domain. Now change your coapp.io-domain (example: mycommunity.coapp.io) and click save. If the name is still available this will be your community's new go-to domain.

    If you want to use your own domain like community.YOURDOMAIN.com that is also possible, of course. Just reach out to our support team to get things started.

  3. Upload your logo and change colors

    To make coapp really your own social platform, you should upload your logo. You can do this by clicking on Customization in the Settings. Directly below the logo uploader you can adjust the colors. Don't forget to save your changes.

  4. Customize user onboarding

    All new members will be shown the user onboarding when they log in for the first time. You can customize the 4 steps according to your needs. You can do this by clicking on Customization in the Settings. In the first step you can start with a personal welcome and a team photo. Complete the other steps. The preview on the right side will help you.

  5. Invite team and user

    In the feed (right-hand column) you will find the option to invite new members. You can invite several members in one step. Now invite everyone! 🙌

    After your team has signed up, you can appoint them as admins.
    Go to: Manage > Space > Administrators.


    ​👉 In the meantime you can fill the feed a bit so that your members don't enter an empty platform.

  6. Set up booking calendar

    With the booking function you have the possibility to make your resources (such as meeting rooms, shared vehicles, screens or even people) bookable by your community.

  7. Create & share content with Pages

    Let your members work, network and exchange information in Pages. Pages can be public or private. They are sorted into Channels. You can find them in the main menu on the left-hand side.

  8. Connect Stripe to receive payments

    With coapp you can create and manage subscriptions, plan upgrades, resources and many things more.

    Members can choose their own plan and payment method, as well as book rooms, resources and anything else you want to offer. Invoices are sent automatically every month.

  9. Subscribe now

    Did coapp convince you? Superb!

    Go to the Manage section and click on Settings at the bottom left and then select Account. Start your subscription. 🎉

    Your free trial period will continue even after you sign up.
