Give your community a framing with channels
Create channels, for example, for projects, organizations, or knowledge, and name them freely. This way, you show your members what your community stands for while creating more clarity and structure.
Within each channel, you and your members can create unlimited pages. Pages act like blank templates – how they’re used is entirely up to you, defined by their titles and descriptions. They can serve as digital spaces, forums, knowledge hubs, or be used for companies, projects, and collaboration.
Creating a channel
Channels are created directly in the sidebar menu. Click on “Add channel” and name the new channel.
Sections in channels
With sections, you can visually enhance each channel and complement it with content, images, and code snippets. This allows you to design every channel individually and provide additional information for your members – for example, rules, goals, or background information about the pages contained in it.
Creating a page
Pages can be created either directly within a channel (via the “Create” button) or by using the “+” icon in the page header.
Page access: Private, Community, or Paid
When creating a page, you have three options to control who can access and interact with your content:
Private page: Visible only to the invited members of that page. This is the best option for specific projects or topics meant for a limited number of people.
Community page: Visible to all members of the community. It is listed in the channel and discoverable by non-members. This encourages community engagement and reaches a broader audience.
Paid page: Exclusive content visible only to users with a specific plan. Members without the plan will hit a paywall and can upgrade directly to gain access. (Learn more about setting up Paid Pages here)
You can access the page settings at any time via the pencil icon to adjust visibility and permissions later.
Following pages
If your page is public to everyone in the community, any community member can follow it. Followers automatically receive notifications when new posts are published.
Page posts in the feed
Posts from pages that are visible to everyone in the community are automatically published in the feed.
This way, members who do not yet follow the page can discover new content, react to it, or follow the page directly.
Managing pages and channels
All pages and channels can be managed in the “Manage” area.
Click on “Manage” in the header and select “Channels & Pages” in the menu on the left side.
