Posts help members and admins share updates, questions, images, files, polls, and links with the community. A post can appear in the main feed, on a page, on an event, or in both the feed and its selected destination.
Who can do what?

Create a post
You can start a post in several places:
In the main feed, select the post field.
On desktop, open the Create menu and select Post.
On mobile, open the create button and select Post.
On a page where you are an owner or contributor, use the post field in the Posts section.
On an event you organize, use the post field in the Posts section.
In the post composer:
Choose where the post should appear from the destination selector at the top. Depending on where you opened the composer, the destination may already be selected or locked.
Add your content. You can write and format text, mention members, add hashtags and emojis, upload one or more images, attach a file, paste a link, or create a poll.
Review the visibility message. It explains who can see the post and where it will appear.
Select Post.
The Post button becomes available when the post contains text, a valid poll, an image, or an attachment.
Format text and add links
Select text in the composer to open formatting controls. You can use headings, bold, italic, strikethrough, numbered and bulleted lists, and links.
When you paste a link, coapp shows a preview for the first suitable link. Links to content in the same community can appear as a coapp content preview. If the post also contains images, the link preview is shown in a more compact form.
Add images and files
Use the image button to add one or more images. A single image is shown directly in the post; multiple images are displayed as a gallery.
Use the file button to attach a file. The uploaded file appears below the post content and can be opened from the post. If an upload is too large, coapp shows an error; the post composer currently reports a 10 MB maximum in this case.
Create a poll
Select Add poll, then:
Enter a question.
Add at least two answer options.
Drag options to reorder them if needed.
Enable Allow multiple answers if members should be able to select more than one option.
Publish the post.
Members can vote directly in the post, see vote totals, and open the voter list for each option. In a single-answer poll, they must remove their current vote before choosing another option.
Polls cannot be edited after publication. Delete the poll post and create a new one if you need to correct the question or its options.
Choose where a post appears
The destination selector can combine the main Feed with one page or event. The visibility note in the composer is the most reliable summary of the current selection.

When you create a post from a private, paid, or unpublished page, sharing to the main feed is unavailable. When you create an event update from the event page, its event destination and visibility may be locked.
Drafts and unfinished posts
If you close the composer or leave the page before publishing, coapp saves meaningful unfinished content and restores it the next time you open the same post context. Drafts expire after seven days.
Drafts are stored for your account in the current browser. Text, poll content, attachments, and the selected destination can be restored. Newly selected images are not restored, so add them again before publishing. Publishing clears the saved draft.
Read and interact with posts
Long posts are shortened in the feed. Select Show more to read the complete text.
You can interact with a post in several ways:
Select a visible reaction such as a heart or thumbs-up, or open the emoji picker for another reaction. Select your reaction again to remove it.
Write a comment below the post. Comments support formatted text, mentions, emojis, and images.
Select Reply below a comment. coapp starts the reply with a mention of the comment author when that profile is available.
Select the comment counter or View all comments to expand the discussion.
Use the share button to send the post in a coapp message, share it in a new post, copy its link, or open your device's share menu when supported.
Open the post menu and select Copy link for a direct link. Comments also have their own copyable links.
Authors can delete their own comments. Admins can delete any comment in their community.
Edit or delete your post
Open the three-dot menu on a post you wrote.
Select Edit, update the content, and select Save. The destination cannot be changed while editing. Poll posts do not offer editing.
Select Delete and confirm. Deletion cannot be undone from the post interface.
Admins can delete another member's post from the same menu. Editing remains available only to the post author.
Admin: manage page and event posting access
No separate configuration is required for posting in the main feed.
For page posts, assign members as Owners or Contributors on the page. Owners can manage the page and its roles; both owners and contributors can publish page posts. Followers can read page posts and receive page notifications but cannot publish on the page.
For event updates, add members as event organizers. The event creator and organizers can publish updates in the event's Posts section. Community admins can manage the event, but the update composer on the event page is presented to organizers.
Admin: pin a post
Pin an important main-feed post so it appears in the pinned area above the regular feed.
Open the post's three-dot menu.
Select Pin.
To remove it later, open the menu again and select Unpin.
Only posts without a page or event destination can be pinned. Pinning may depend on the community plan; when it is unavailable, coapp shows the relevant upgrade prompt.
Admin: announce a post
Announcements send an additional notification about a post to active community members.
Open the post's three-dot menu.
Select Announce.
Review the warning and confirm Send announcement.
If shown, enable Ignore notification preferences only when the message must reach members regardless of their notification choices.
A post can be announced once. Announcements are not available for private or unpublished page content and depend on the community plan. coapp notes that active members already receive new-post notifications by default, so a manual announcement is usually best reserved for especially important updates.
Troubleshooting
I cannot select the feed as a destination
The selected page may be private, paid, or unpublished, or the post may have been opened from a context where the destination is fixed. Check the visibility message in the composer.
I cannot post on a page
Only page owners and contributors see the page post composer. Ask a page owner or admin to update your page role.
I cannot post an event update
The event update composer is available to the event creator and organizers. Ask the event creator or an admin to add you as an organizer.
I cannot edit a post
Only the author can edit a post, and published polls cannot be edited. Admins can remove another member's post but cannot edit it as that member.
My unfinished images were not restored
Saved drafts restore text, polls, attachments, and destinations, but not newly selected images. Add the images again before publishing.
