Announcements
If you want an event, post or project update to be sent to your entire community, you can send an announcement via the message menu (three dots in the upper right corner). Your community will then receive the same announcement by email. This is very handy for important announcements, information about an upcoming event or changed opening hours.
Project Updates
Use a project like a rubric. If a user follows a project you created, he will receive a notification with every update. This is like a kind of subscription.
