As a community operator on coapp, you are the "Data Controller" for your members' data under the GDPR. To help you fulfill your accountability obligations and retain full control over your data at all times (protecting you from vendor lock-in), we offer comprehensive export options.
1. Self-Service: Export via CSV Interface
For the most common administrative data, direct CSV exports are available directly in your admin area. CSV is a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format, making it ideal for further processing in Excel or importing into other systems.
Member Data
To get a list of all members including their master data (name, email, addresses, custom profile fields, etc.):
Path:
Manage>Community>MembersAction: Click on the CSV icon.
Booking Statistics
For your accounting or external analysis of your revenues:
Path:
Manage>Bookings>StatisticsAction: Click the CSV icon to download the current statistics view.
Event Data (Attendees & Revenues)
Data for events can be exported separately per event, for example, to use on-site check-in lists or to track ticket sales:
Path: Open the respective Event Detail Page > Click the "Manage Attendees" link.
Action: Two options are available here:
Tickets sold: Click the CSV icon for a detailed revenue overview.
Attendees: Click the CSV icon for the list of registered persons.
2. Export on Request: User-Generated Content
Due to their complexity, some data structures cannot be exported via a simple button click in the admin interface.
This includes:
Created posts and comments
Individual member activity data
Procedure: These data sets will be exported for you upon request by the coapp team. We ensure that you also receive this content in a structured format to guarantee full data portability according to Art. 20 GDPR. Please reach out to our support team to request this.
3. Export via API
If your community has access to the coapp API, you can also export data directly via the API and back it up or process it in your own systems.
API access is available from the Professional plan onwards.
> This help article describes how to get access to the coapp API.
> Here are some examples of how you can use our open API.
For details on using the API and available endpoints, please contact the coapp support team.
