How to create and connect memberships, events, resources and access in your community

This guide shows you how to set up your pricing and offer model optimally to generate revenue with your community.

Updated this week

More and more entrepreneurs, coaches and organizations are recognizing the value of having their own community - not only in terms of data sovereignty and a consistent brand presence, but also as a sustainable source of income.

A community thrives on participation, exchange and common goals - but also on clear structures.

In order for members to understand what access they have, what services they can expect and how the various offers differ, a well thought-out system for memberships, prices and access is needed.

coapp enables you to offer subscriptions, event tickets, resources and content directly via your own platform - including payment function, rights management and automation.

Plans

Memberships - Three tariffs for maximum impact

It all starts with the right pricing structure. So that your members know exactly what to expect, the structure, design and description should be clear and understandable.

The most successful communities on coapp use a three-tier pricing structure. This allows you to cover all target groups - from new members to loyal supporters.

Your tariffs could look like this:

  1. "Community Access" - the entry-level price

The ideal starting point for new members

This tariff can be free, but it doesn't have to be. With a paid entry tariff, you increase commitment - and ultimately you get something for your money:

With this plan, you offer access to your exclusive community, new contacts, discussions and networking opportunities, as well as all the content you provide.

➡️ Ideal for building trust and generating initial revenue.

  2. "Plus" - the most popular tariff

    The optimum price-performance ratio.

In this package you combine access and added value, for example through:

    • One hour of 1:1 coaching per month (or another bookable offer)

    • (discounted) access to events (see Events section)

    • exclusive content and private pages in coapp (see Pages section)

➡️ This level is the sweet spot: attractively priced and with tangible added value.

  3. "Premium" - exclusive with many included services

Your high-end offer for committed members.

This tariff is priced higher, but offers numerous inclusive services.

It is particularly suitable as an annual subscription - on the one hand for stable sales and long-term customer loyalty, and on the other hand because corporate customers can often bill this tariff more easily and therefore have access to your offer for a whole year.

    This can include, for example

    • Early access to new content

    • Access to exclusive groups and resources

    • Free or heavily discounted event tickets

    • Booking credit for sessions, coaching & services

➡️ Ideal for members who should experience maximum participation and appreciation.

Resources

Offer sessions, coaching & services at individual prices

Create resources such as coaching sessions, rooms or digital offers and determine exactly who can see them and who can book them.

Thanks to the permission management in coapp, you can easily define tariff-based authorizations.

Examples:

  • Visible to all, only bookable from the Plus tariff upwards

  • Full access for Plus and Premium members

  • Define booking credits for special rates

You can also define inclusive hours or individual prices for each rate - perfect for making your members customized offers.

➡️ In this way, you create clear structures, promote transparency and offer your members comprehensible benefits.

Events

Events - Event tickets for every membership

Events are an important part of many communities. They create encounters, promote exchange and make the value of membership tangible.

For this reason, it makes sense to plan the price structure and ticket naming carefully.

  1. Create one ticket per membership for each event

Indicate the fare category directly in the ticket name. This makes it clear to everyone which ticket applies to them. Examples:

    "Ticket - Community Access"
    "Ticket - Plus Members"
    "Ticket - Premium Members"

  2. Show transparently what advantages higher tariffs offer

Members of higher tariffs should have recognizable advantages - for example, lower prices or included participation.

  3. Calculate the prices comprehensibly

If the next higher rate is already worthwhile after the first event, there is a natural motivation to upgrade.

➡️ This not only makes your pricing model fair, but also sells well.

Pages

Exclusive content in groups, forums and rooms

Create pages that are only accessible to certain membership groups.

These areas can contain content, discussions, presentations or expert knowledge for your members.

Then invite the relevant members to these thematic groups and publish posts, photos or videos there to promote exchange and activity.

The greater the perceived added value, the more your members are generally willing to pay.

Conclusion: think holistically about memberships, events, resources and content

With coapp, memberships, event prices, resources and exclusive content can not only be designed individually, but also strategically combined.

By coordinating access, prices and content, you create a clear, comprehensible system that gives your members orientation and makes the value of your offers visible.

This turns individual Features into a coherent overall model in which every decision - from the ticket price to exclusive content - contributes to structuring your community in a meaningful way and making it sustainable in the long term.

coapp offers you the framework to make transparency, fairness and appreciation tangible in your community - without any complicated tools or external dependencies.
