Sections are freely customizable content blocks in coapp. You can combine as many sections as you like and determine their order yourself. This allows you to present text, images, videos, audio content, and code in a clear and organized way.
Sections can be used on pages as well as in channels, events, and posts.
What types of sections are available?
Text sections
Use text sections for explanations, guides, descriptions, and other editorial content.
Image sections
Image sections allow you to add graphics, photos, or banners.
Video sections
A video section allows you to embed an externally hosted video directly in coapp. Simply add the video URL.

Podcast/audio sections
Podcast/audio sections allow you to embed podcast episodes and other audio content directly into your content. To do so, add the URL of the desired audio content.

Code sections
Code sections are used to display code snippets in a clear and formatted way.
Who can manage sections?
In channels: Only admins can create, edit, or delete sections.
On pages: Admins and the respective creators of a page can create and edit sections.
How to create a section
1. Select a destination
Open a page, channel, or event where you want to add a section.
2. Add a section
Click the “+ Add section” area.
Then select the desired section type:
Text section
Image section
Video section
Podcast/audio section
Code section
3. Add content
Add the desired content. For a video or podcast/audio section, enter the media URL from a supported platform.
Then save the section.
4. Add more sections
Use the small “+” icon within an existing section to add another section directly above or below it. This allows you to flexibly combine different media and content.
Change the order and delete sections
Reorder: Use the arrow icons at the bottom of a section to move it up or down.
Delete: Click the trash can icon to remove a section.
Organize content clearly with sections
Use sections to divide complex topics into easy-to-understand units. In channels, you can keep important basic information permanently visible. Events can be enhanced with relevant videos or podcast episodes.
In combination with exclusive content for pages, sections are also ideal for protected courses, podcasts, and video learning content. This allows you to bring text, images, and media together in one place and make them available specifically to selected users.
