How-to: Booking credit in coapp - Assign and use inclusive hours and cash credit

What Are Booking Credits?

Booking Credits allow you to grant your members automatically recurring included time or budget for specific resources. These are applied per billing cycle – either monthly or annually – and expire at the end of that cycle.

For Admins: How to Assign Credits

You can assign credits for resources to plans (1.) and also individually for individual users (2.).

1. Plan Level – Assign Included Credits to All Members of a Plan

  • Go to Manage > Settings > Monetization > Plans.

  • Open the desired plan (e.g., Community) and scroll down to the Resources section.

Option 1: Add Credits to a SINGLE Resource

  • Click Add Resource.

  • Specify:

    • Price for users on this plan (e.g., €10/hour),

    • Type of credit: Hours or Cash,

    • Amount (e.g., 1 hour).

    • These credits will only apply to this specific resource.

Option 2: Assign Credits to a GROUP of Resources

Use groups when multiple bookable variations should share the same credit balance (e.g., different coaches).

  • Click Add Resource Group.

  • Enter a group name (e.g., Coachings).

  • Select one or more resources to include in the group.

  • Specify:

    • A different price for users on this plan (if needed),

    • The desired number of credits (e.g., 10 hours),

    • Unit: Hours or Cash.

2. Per Member – Customize Credits Individually

  • Go to Manage > Community > Members.

  • Select the desired member.

  • Click on their current Plan.

  • Click Update.

  • From the β€œβ€¦β€ menu, choose Customize, then scroll to the Resources section.

  • Now follow the same steps as in Step 1:

    • Use Option 1 to assign credits to a single resource, or

    • Use Option 2 to assign credits to a resource group.

    • Click Save.

  • Then click Update subscription to confirm the changes.

How Users See Their Monthly or Yearly Credits

  • Click your profile picture in the top-right corner.

  • Navigate to Account > Membership, then click on your current plan.

  • Under the plan description you will see:

    • Which resources include credits.

How a Booking Works with Credits

When a member books a resource that includes credits:

  • The system checks if enough included hours are available.

  • The interface shows how many hours are used and how many remain.

Credits Renew Automatically

Credits are automatically reset every month or year, depending on the plan’s billing cycle. Unused credits expire at the end of the billing period.

Tipps & Best Practices

  • Use credits as an incentive to promote higher-tier memberships.
