Yes, it's possible to change the owner of a coapp community, even on the free plan.
How to Transfer Community Ownership
Currently, transferring ownership (i.e. changing the owner) must be done manually by our support team. This applies to all plans, including the Free Plan.
Steps:
Contact our support team using the in-app chat or by email.
Provide the following information:
Community name or link
Email address of the current owner
Email address of the new owner (must already be a member of the community)
A short confirmation that the current owner approves the transfer
Our support will verify the request and process the change.
Important Notes
Only support can perform the transfer — there is no self-service option.
The new owner must already be a member of the community before we can complete the transfer.
Each community can only have one owner. The owner has the highest level of permissions and is the primary contact for support.
Depending on the plan, communities can have multiple admins in addition to the owner, who can help manage content and members.
