Stripe Verification: How to provide additional documentation

Updated today

It may happen that Stripe requires additional information or documents from you to keep your account active for payouts. This is a standard process to comply with legal requirements and ensure the security of your payments.

Don't worry – you can submit this information directly through your coapp dashboard.

Why is this required?

As a payment service provider, Stripe is legally obligated to verify the identity of account holders. If information such as your name, date of birth, or an ID document could not be verified, you will receive a notification with a deadline (e.g., "Due June 14, 2026").

Step-by-Step Instructions

To submit the missing documentation, follow these steps:

  1. Log in: Sign in to your coapp admin area.

  2. Navigation: In the menu, go to Monetization > Payments > Stripe.

  3. Edit Setup: Click the Edit Setup button.

  4. Stripe Onboarding: You will be securely redirected to Stripe. There, you can see exactly which fields need correction or which documents (e.g., a scan of your ID) need to be uploaded.

  5. Complete: Once you have entered the data, you will be automatically redirected back to coapp.

What happens if I miss the deadline?

If the documentation is not submitted by the specified date, Stripe may temporarily pause payouts to your bank account until verification is complete. While accepting payments from your members is usually affected later, we recommend completing the details as soon as possible.

Tip: Ensure that the uploaded documents are clearly legible and exactly match the data you provided in Stripe (e.g., full name as it appears on your ID).
