The Matchmaking feature in coapp helps you discover more relevant connections within your community. Based on profile data, the system calculates a Matching Score (0–100%) indicating how well two members fit together.
The feature is enabled by default – no manual setup required.
How is the Matching Score calculated?
The score is calculated in real time using the following data points:
Data source | Description |
Profile headline | Short description of a member |
About me text | Personal information or expertise |
Company | Associated organization or employer |
Tags | Interests, topics, or expertise areas |
Profile creation date | When the profile was created |
Last profile update | Last modification of the profile |
Custom fields | Admins can define whether each custom field should be included in the Matching Score calculation. See Custom Fields |
Where is the Matching Score displayed?
In the member profile: The score is displayed next to the user's name.
In member lists: The community list is automatically sorted by highest score.
In event participant lists: Members with a score above 50% are marked with a ⭐ symbol.
What does the score mean?
0–49%: Low match – few shared interests or data points.
50–79%: Good match – relevant similarities found.
80–100%: High match – very similar profiles or interests.
