Best Practices: How to make your events a success

Events on coapp are more than just calendar entries – they’re community moments. To make them lively and well-attended, here are three practical tips:

Updated this week
  1. Build excitement in the event feed

With the event feed, you can run all communication with your participants directly inside coapp. A dedicated feed is automatically created when you set up a new event. Use it actively:

    • Share some early info or photos from a previous event.

    • Introduce speakers or program highlights.

    • Invite your community to share questions or wishes.

Pro tip: Every post in the event feed is sent directly to all participants via push or email (depending on their notification settings).

  2. Post a reminder the day before

The day before the event is the perfect moment for a reminder post:

    • Greet all participants with a countdown post (“It’s happening tomorrow!”).

    • Share final logistical details (e.g. location, schedule, what to bring).

    • Give a final motivational push – especially important for free events!

This helps reduce no-shows and boosts last-minute excitement.

  3. Create a €0 waitlist ticket

Is your event sold out? That’s not the end – create an additional €0 ticket and call it “Waitlist”:

    • This allows interested people to sign up – and gives you an idea of extra demand.

    • If someone cancels, you can reach out to waitlisted users directly.

    • Optionally, you can open up more spots and notify the waitlist instantly.

Simple, effective – and super useful!
